It’s the Monday after Easter and it’s a business morning at the Food Bank of Greenwood County.
We’ve already sent the truck out to our mobile site in Coronaca and we’re working
around the warehouse to get ready to distribute food. That’s when we got this surprise.
Landen and Nehemiahus Wardlaw stopped by the Food Bank to make a donation. We love donations. Donations help us to address food insecurity in Greenwood County.
But, here’s where their donation was different.
These two young men decided to start a lemonade stand. It’s not an easy job to get your business off the ground, but the two made a profit.
And, when they made this profit, they decided to share some of it with others. So, Landen and Nehemiahus decided to help their community and they donated a portion of their earnings to the Food Bank of Greenwood County.
Thank you for the amazing gift and thanks for helping to make it a memorable Monday at the Food Bank!
